Teaching vs Stage Performing

Similarities:
1. You can never predict the outcome of each session. It could either turn out a roaring success or a total failure.

2. The outcome depends on both the 'live performance' of the teacher/performer at that point in time, plus the responses of the class/audience. & each has a reinforcing effect on the other. (yes, it's true. the teacher/performer can see the class'/audience's faces.)

3. Both are damaging to the vocal chords. (well, at least for the voice performers/vocalists.)

4. It's odd to go back to being by yourself, after having tens or hundreds of pairs of eyes staring at you for the last few hours.

5. When the teacher/performer makes a mistake or does something embarrassing, it's amplified by the number of people who are present to witness it.

6. Repeating something too often (be it teaching material or songs or MC) does lose its kick after a while. So guess it's best to not do it too often, or to vary the delivery now and then.

Key Difference:
1. Students are NOT your fans before they enter the classroom. -_-; ^_^;;
