Countdown!

Mayday was in town today for a performance @ Plaza Sing. I missed it because of class, but it was nice reading about it in some of their Singapore fans' blogs. Especially those who are true Mayday fans... i could literally feel the excitement radiating from the computer screen.. and totally comprehend what that feels like! :D At the back of my mind, I know that if I were to watch the band live, I'd probably still enjoy their performance, especially the playful banter between the members ~ that's always extremely infectious! If there's a common point in the bands (or a particular 'pairing', ahem!) that I like, it's got to be the chemistry (& close friendships) between the members. I think it translates into the music, and the sort of performance they give during lives.

As for Mayday, having heard their latest release, I still prefer their first two albums. It's not that I don't like the style that they're adopting now (more Beatles-like), but I hear quite a lot of familiar riffs and musical arrangements in this new release (in fact, the previous album held much more surprises). That's despite Monster & Stone taking on more of the melody composition and arrangement responsibilities. There's one Taiwanese track in the new album (x2 cos there are 2 versions of it), which is a relief. Taiwanese rock lives~~~ (Now i'm looking forward to Wubai & China Blue's Taiwanese release slated for end of the year).

And of course, it's now one month countdown to mucc's History DVD release!!! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait~! The date of release of their photobook next year is 22 Feb and I've just realized that 22 Feb was also the date of the first live where Yukke officially played as mucc's bassist. w_(^.^)_w

Photos time! :D!

Walked Orchard Road with Qiu on Sun night and as I had my digicam with me, I went a bit trigger-happy O_O

Yep, it's the time of year again when the trees lining Orchard Road, whether they like it or not, get held down by Christmas lights. "Great! We can photosynthesize 24h a day! Light shall no longer be our limiting factor!" so says the leaf next to the lightbulb :P

I gotta admit it though, it's really quite pretty. Almost feels like wonderland..

& although it's quite simple, but I find the Heeren's cartoon angels the cutest amongst the various malls' decorations this Season. It's just the blissful+contented looks on their faces lah.. XD XD XD

THIS I find quite disturbing. Somehow having a mannequin up on the lamppost hugging a..X'mas bush is just...not...erm...very right O_o;;
