Head..hurts..

My head hurts again..first day back at work after close to 2 weeks and totally swamped. Eyes hurt from peering at the computer screen too much (and yet here I am blogging!duh!). This is so NOT the kind of life I want. But for that paycheck.. gosh, is it worth it.

Anyway, blogstudio finally replied to my queries. What was so infuriating was that they said they could do nothing about the fact that my blog was 'one of those unfortunate to be struck by the unexpected power outtage' because mine wasn't a paid account and they don't do back-ups for free ones. Well excuse me. Majority of their blogs are free accounts. I'm not asking for a back-up here! What I'm asking for is reliable provision of service; power outtages at such a scale is unacceptable. And please, don't kid yourself that non-paying accounts like mine isn't doing you a service either! You were probably also earning something (from spyware, adverts, what have yous!) from my blog!

*calms down*

Well, the only comfort I'm getting now is that I'm still using their server for the perm pics that I have on this blog, like those links on the left, cos blogger doesn't seem to provide server space for that (unless I have missed that out again..KC, would you happen to know?). Still, I don't feel the need to change the layout at the moment cos..chuckle..to tell you the truth, I'm growing to like this polka dot thingy. XD

Just finished reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. Overall it was a good read (although I still don't agree with the conclusion about the Monty Hall problem!! XP). It reminded me of Flowers for Algernon which till this day is still one of the best books I've read.

Note to self: Things to buy before my fall trip to Japan (that's now been pushed to Oct):
- Platforms! Gotta have those for lives.. the tall-person-in-front-of-me syndrome always happens without fail..
- Digicam..after my old pal Olympus C700 died one me...RIP. ToT Wouldn't mind a not-so-high res one, anything 3MP or above would do.. but would be looking for a 10x optical zoom one again, though this time I'm hoping to get one with an image stabilizer. That is so important during high optical zooms. Was eyeing the Canon S1 IS, but then reviews at cnet and cnet asia say that it doesn't perform optimally at low light conditions, so am a bit worried for like...heheh...concert performances :P Appreciate recommendations from friends, if you have any! :)
